Metal Dudes React To Randy Blythe’s Arrest

Lamb of God
Believe it or not, I learned of Randy Blythe’s arrest from a Kirk Windstein Facebook post. I was at the Death To All show, sweating my gonads off at Irving Plaza, and I read Kirk’s update.

JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT RANDY…WTF? REALLY, AFTER THE DIMEBAG INCIDENT, ARE WE NOT ALLOWED TO PROTECT OURSELVES ON STAGE?…IF I JUMPED INTO SOMEONE’S CUBICLE, WOULDN’T THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO KICK MY ASS?…SORRY ABOUT THE FAN, BUT IF YOU’RE GONNA JUMP ON STAGE, YOU BETTER BE PREPARED FOR SOMETHING THAT’S POSSIBLY NOT GOING TO BE GOOD!!! KIRK

Kirk loves the CAPS button. Since reading that update, I have read countless updates from dudes on Facebook reacting to the arrest in Prague on manslaughter charges of Randy Blythe, Lamb of God’s frontman.

Here are some of those updates, collected for you here:

Killswitch Engage’s Mike D’Antonio: “Thinking of my boy Randy… One of the nicest dudes, I hope things get figured out ASAP.”

David Draiman of Disturbed: “MY THOUGHTS GO OUT TO MY FRIEND RANDY BLYTHE FROM LAMB OF GOD @lambvox ?#freerandyblythe”

Gwar’s Oderus Urungus: “All power out to Randy and our boys in Lamb of God. They are our blood and we stand by them. This whole thing reeks of bullshit.”

God Forbid’s Doc Coyle: “Just found out about Randy from LOG being arrested. My thoughts are with you dude. I pray everything works out ok. #friends”

DevilDriver’s Dez Fafara: “Prayers and thoughts for Randy as I fall asleep tonight …..Enroute to Full Force Germany ?#HesAGoodMan? ?#SendPositiveThoughts”
