Death Angel Announce 2011 Tour

Posted by Chris Harris on September 7, 2010 in News, Rad, Tour Dates

We’re already getting 2011 tour dates…damn. Did this summer cruise by for everyone else? I know I’m sad it’s winded down and that we’re heading into fall. I fucking hate the winter. I need to move to the West Coast. Speaking of which, thrash metallers Death Angel are from California…they probably don’t mild the winters. Read More

Kamelot North American Tour Now Postponed

Posted by Chris Harris on September 7, 2010 in News, Poop, Tour Dates

Last week, Kamelot revealed that frontman Roy Khan had taken ill and would not be making the band’s upcoming North American tour. But the tour wasn’t cancelled. The band would carry on with the trek, come hell or high water.

Well, either hell or hot water came, because the tour has now been postponed. “As Read More

Darkest Hour, Veil of Maya Tour Dates Leaked

Posted by Chris Harris on September 5, 2010 in New Records, News, Tour Dates

We’ve known — or at least rumors have led us to believe — that Darkest Hour would be hitting the road sometime this fall, with the rumor also hinting that perhaps maybe Veil of Maya — one time subject of our Gun Shy Interview — would possibly be along for the ride.

And like most Read More

Danzig’s “Blackest Of The Black” Tour Returning

Posted by Chris Harris on September 4, 2010 in News, Tour Dates

And guess who’s headlining? That’s right, Danzig! Glenn’s “Blackest of the Black” tour will be back again in 2010 and so far, just six dates have been announced. Most of them are in Texas. I guess Danzig is big there. I figured the only place Danzig could ever be big was Japan. He’s actually considered Read More

Dimmu Borgir Touring With Enslaved

Posted by Chris Harris on September 3, 2010 in News, Tour Dates

Earlier, I noticed that Lambgoat had a bunch of new tour dates for Dimmu Borgir, and I was like, “Dude, I haven’t seen anything about Dimmu touring here in the states before — this must be news.” And it is. Because then, I got a press release about it too. About 10 minutes after I Read More

Wolvserpent Reveal U.S. Tour Dates

Posted by Chris Harris on September 3, 2010 in New Records, News, Tour Dates

Wolvserpent sound like they’re from Boise, Idaho. I don’t know why. They just do. The band — formerly known as Pussygutt — are a haunting, gothic metal band that incorporates elements of doom, ambient and even features violin. You should check out their MySpace page. Who knows? They could end up becoming your new favorite Read More

Wormrot Tour Delayed By Visa Issues

Posted by Chris Harris on September 2, 2010 in News, Poop, Tour Dates

When bands from other countries announce U.S. gigs, I never assume the tour will go off without a hitch, as planned. For the most part, the Department of Homeland Security makes it fairly difficult for bands to cross the Atlantic and tour the states. I mean, I can’t even tell you how many tours have Read More

CKY Reveal Tour Dates, Touring Lineup

Posted by Chris Harris on September 2, 2010 in Huh?, News, Tour Dates

So, here’s the thing. I was into CKY’s earliest shit — before Island, before Roadrunner. It was just dumb, catchy rock that had a groove to it, and heavy-sounding guitars. I was also turned on to the band through the CKY video series that Bam Margera produced in the late 1990s. CKY aren’t the most Read More

36 Crazyfists Map Extensive Headlining Tour

Posted by Chris Harris on September 2, 2010 in News, Tour Dates

When I think of Alaska, I think of metal dudes 36 Crazyfists. I’ve been a fan of the band since 2002’s Bitterness the Star. Given the name — something, I understand, that has plagued the band for some time — I probably wouldn’t have listened to the disc had it not been for my ex-wife, Read More

Jani Lane To Join Great White For Tour

Posted by Chris Harris on August 30, 2010 in Huh?, News, Poop, Tour Dates

Jesus — this tour just sounds doomed, doesn’t it? When I first read about this on Blabbermouth, I thought it was an Onion headline. But I guess former Warrant singer Jani Lane, who’s been arrested a gazillion times in the last two years for DUI-related offenses, is taking over for sickly Great White frontman Jack Read More
