Lago Exclusive Song Streams: “The Tyranny Of Men” And “Coming Cataclysm”

GunShyAssassin shares something of a mutual admiration with the fellows in Arizona death metal masters Lago.

Early on in this site’s inception, Lago’s members reached out to express their undying respect for GunShyAssassin’s brutally-honest stance on shit. They even sent me a demo and a tee shirt in the mail; after listening to them, I became a fan and supporter.

That’s why today, it’s kind of rad to see things come full circle. Lago is letting us stream their two newest tracks for an entire week before they start selling them online. The tunes — “The Tyranny Of Men” and “Coming Cataclysm” — can be heard in their full, filthy glory at the end of this post.

Oh, and by the way, they both fucking crush!

I’ve said it before, and will say it again: These dudes are like the best parts of Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Aeon, Decapitated, and Emperor, all rolled into one complete unit.

The band formed in January 2010 and have an EP entitled Marianas available.

These two tracks were recorded at Arcane Digital Recording in Chandler, Arizona, by Ryan Butler (Landmine Marathon).

The two tracks will appear on the band’s upcoming full-length, which will need a label home this spring.

I highly recommend a label snatch Lago up quick

And of course, you should all show some love to Lago on Facebook right now!
