Lecherous Nocturne Exclusive Song Stream: “Judgements And Curses”
Posted by Chris Harris on February 12, 2013 in Exclusive, Featured, Song DebutsTo paraphrase Ice Cube, I got to say it is a good day.
Why? Well, for starters, we — and by we, I mean the team here at GunShyAssassin — are overwhelmed with gratitude as today, we bring you the first official taste off the new album by South Carolina death metal warriors Lecherous Nocturne.
Of course, Lecherous Nocturne are basically the best thing to happen to the United States death metal scene since Revocation.
The band will release their third full-length album, Behold Almighty Doctrine, on March 19 through Unique Leader Records.
The long-awaited follow up to 2008’s The Age of Miracles Has Passed raises the band’s already considerable game yet again. The entire album is overflowing with pure death metal awesomeness. Come late 2013, watch — Lecherous will be making a ton of site’s year-end top ten lists.
As you will hear in the following track — “Judgements and Curses” — the material on the new disc explodes coming out of the gate, blasting through those ear buds into your poor ear canals like audio barbed wire.
If you think the song at the end of this post blows, you have serious problems.
With taste, mostly. That problem? You have it, but only in your mouth.
Lecherous Nocturne’s technically-accomplished musicianship and skillfully-concise songwriting seamlessly fuse together, creating a most lethal display of U.S. death metal force.
Ethan Lane and founding member Kreishloff are responsible for the song’s six-string sorcery; The bass is the work of James O’Neil (Apotheosys Atrocious Abnormality) and the drum abuse comes compliments of Alex Lancia (Annthennath).
Chris Lollis (ex-Nile) provides the Satan-belching vocals.
All I can tell you is that the following song rules, Lecherous Nocturne rule, and if you can’t see that, maybe it’s time we got you some new glasses.
