Readers’ Bands: Blizzard At Sea Is My New Favorite Band

Blizzard At Sea

I am at a total loss for how it’s possible I’ve never before heard of this band Blizzard At Sea.

If you like Isis, Botch, or Mastodon, you need to check these dudes out immediately. Stream their music at the end of this post.

The band’s Steve Ross contacted us, to say the band had “recently released our first ever EP, Invariance, and are all super stoked about it! We want to share it with as many people as we can, and Gun Shy Assassin seemed like a choice place to do that!”

Well thanks, Steve. We appreciate the kind words.

We happen to think your band’s bomb, dude. In fact, I have no idea how these dude’s aren’t signed yet.

They are a three-piece that blends sludge, progressive, and post-metal to create something massive.

Check them out.

Just wanted to correct here that what you linked is actually their SECOND ep, called “Individuation”, but their original EP “Invariance” is fantastic as well.
