Readers’ Bands: Let’s Get Busy With The Odious

The Odious

Every week, more and more bands reach out to us, looking for coverage on the site because they — like you — know we put all others to shame.

This week, we turn out attention to Portland, Oregon, to the progressive death metal stylings of The Odious.

“We would be incredibly grateful if you took the time to listen to our material,” the bands writes us. “We are huge fans of Gun Shy Assassin and truly believe that, based on your posts, we share a very similar taste in music.”

Hmm. Maybe. I do like what these guys are doing, and you can give them a listen at the end of this post.

I like the progressive nature of their music, but really, this is just innovative death metal that fans of Black Dahlia Murder would appreciate.

We approve of The Odious. They get our stamp of approval, which, in this life, means everything to an up-and-coming band.

Listen and tell us: Do these guys kill, or are they dills?
