The Quill Exclusive Song Stream: “Pace That Kills”

The Quill

It’s been five years since The Quill released a new studio album. That’s a long time, especially when you’ve got something of a classic rock sound with a hard rock edge. But the long wait for fans of these Swedish riff masters is almost over: The Quill have a new album scheduled for release July 26 through Metalville Records.

Called Full Circle, the album is packed with heavy rock firmly rooted in the seventies but vibrant and updated rather than retro. For reals. And after the jump, you can hear a new song from The Quill entitled “Pace That Kills.”

It’s an exclusive song stream you’re only going to hear on Gun Shy Assassin, baby. And let us know what you think of the song in the comments section. We’re really curious to know what you fuckers think.

The Quill reunited in 2010 after an extended break, and songs were written. Magnus Arnar (Soul 78) filled the vacant vocalist spot. Magnus has the required range to sing the old stuff but also a rawness that the band was looking for.
