Guest Column: Five Albums That Will Change You By Primate’s Shayne Huff

Guest Column

In our ongoing series of guest columns, we’ve asked a bunch of metal’s heaviest hitters to provide us with a list of five crucial albums they think will change you — either for the better or the worse. Today, we hear from Fight Amp’s Shayne Huff of Primate, who have a new album out now.

Slayer — Reign In Blood
This record completely changed the way I viewed metal, and more importantly, how I played drums.

Venomous Concept — Poisoned Apple
This album took metal and hardcore punk and smashed them together to create a new form of brutality with shredding guitars, crushing drums and in-your face vocals.

Municipal Waste — Art of Partying
This release is still one of my top faves in the thrash vein for super-technical guitar and blistering tight drum fills that just rip your head off.

Finntroll — Nattfödd
This record just blows my mind — on every level. The melding of the traditional music with metal is just fucking brilliant!

S.O.D. — Speak English Or Die
What can I say? Excellent drumming, killer riffage, great lyrics…it’s a perfect album! Not bad for a joke band!

Township of Washington Police Chief Randy Ciocco announces two separate possible luring incidents.

The first incident occurred on 9/13/12 at 3:30 p.m on Ridgewood Rd in the area of Cosman Street. Three high school age girls were walking home from school when they were approached by a silver or gray, shiny four door vehicle. A male driver and a female passenger occupied the vehicle. The female passenger was described as an older female with red dyed hair and a wrinkled face. The female passenger asked the girls if they would like a ride to which they replied no. The girls then walked away and the female passenger asked three boys who did enter the vehicle, which then drove away.
The second incident occurred today 9/14/12 at 7:40 a.m. in the area of Pascack Rd and Ridgewood Rd. A silver or gray four-door vehicle described as dirty, with small dents on the side, approached a high school age female. The driver was described as a white male with salt and pepper hair, unshaven and wearing a dirty white t-shirt. The driver asked the girl several questions and when she did not reply he stated you are a nasty girl and drove away.
