Richard Christy

OK, so, remember a few weeks or a couple of months ago, I said I was Skyping with my buddy Jason Suecof and he played one of the Charred Walls of the Damned songs for me and it fucking ripped, and I started talking a lot about how much I wanna hear the whole thing? Well, at the end of this post, you can hear that song. It rules.

It’s called “Ashes Falling Upon Us” and holy hell, is it fucking sick. The guitars are devastating. The drumming by Howard Stern Show regular Richard Christy, thunderous and amazing.

The track obviously comes from the band’s sophomore album, Cold Winds On Timeless Days, which is scheduled for release on October 11 through Metal Blade Records.

This song is awesome. I think it’s the cat’s pajamas. I really do. And really, I’m just going to put this out there. I had a shitty weekend, but this Monday, I got some great news, so I’m in an “Everything is awesome” mood. But I do think this song is awesome.

Anyways, I’m going to have a nephew soon. I’m psyched to buy him Spider-Man stuff. Psyched! I will also make sure (as will his dad) that the kid loves metal. It will happen, oh yes — it will happen. This kid’s going to be in a band one day, and I’ll be writing about how awesome his shit is. You wait and see, fuckers.
