Archaios Exclusive Song Stream: “The Distant”

Holy fucking shit — smack me in the face and call me fucking impressed. I am very happy to be able to introduce you to your new favorite band: Archaios. They’re a thrash-imbued death metal band from the Dominican Republic, and they’re fucking insane.

After the jump, at the end of this post, you will be able to stream the title track from the band’s forthcoming second LP, The Distant. It rips. Heart-pounding death metal drums, mind-blowing guitar artistry, and a dude with a growl that sounds like he’s being pureed in a fucking blender.

Yet, the song also takes a more progressive turn towards the end, and is capped off with some insane solos.

Archaios will unleash The Distant on November 11 through Dark Canvas Records. The disc was recorded and produced by the band in their hometown of Santo Domingo.

I have heard the rest of it, and if you dig “The Distant,” you will love the rest of this monster.
