“The Metal Bible” Gets English Translation

Brittni reads the Bible

The Metal Bible,” a book that doubles as a Bible that was first made available in 2005, but only in Swedish and Dutch, is now available in English.

The book is also available in German, as anyone who went to the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany nows. More than 12,000 copies of the German version were sold during the fest.

Over 60,000 copies of the Swedish version of “The Metal Bible” have been snatched up.

A press release suggests that “The Metal Bible” is “a cool special Bible edition that besides (New Testament) also features plenty of metalheads that share their life stories and talk about what God and the Bible means to them. The cover, all layout, fonts, pictures, etc., of the extra 128 pages are also done in true metal style, making it the ultimate Bible for any metal fan, showing that the Bible is a cool book also for people into metal music.”

The book features a bunch of dudes you know for being into God: Dave Ellefson of Megadeth, Iron Maiden’s Nicko McBrain, Peter Baltes of Accept, Whitesnake’s Tommy Aldridge, and Stryper’s Michael Sweet.

I will not be getting a copy.
