36 Crazyfists Map Extensive Headlining Tour
Posted by Chris Harris on September 2, 2010 in News, Tour Dates
When I think of Alaska, I think of metal dudes 36 Crazyfists. I’ve been a fan of the band since 2002’s Bitterness the Star. Given the name — something, I understand, that has plagued the band for some time — I probably wouldn’t have listened to the disc had it not been for my ex-wife, who worked at Roadrunner at the time. She told me I had to hear it, and I’m glad she made me.All these years later, I consider 36CF to be one of metal’s most underrated bands. Live, they tear it up on stage with an intensity not seen by many. You should go check them out this month when they head out with Straight Line Stitch and Taking Dawn.
The tour kicks off on September 16 in one of my favorite cities — Seattle, which is just a loogie’s hock away from Vancouver, another of my favorite cities — and wraps October 23 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. And here are those dates. Go see this tour…and check out the band’s latest studio offering Collisions and Castaways.
