Alice In Chains Tease Special Concert Announcement

Alice In Chains

Hmm. I wonder what this “special concert” announcement could be? I’m hoping its a Soundgarden and Alice In Chains co-headliner, but that isn’t going to happen. Probably. Maybe its a benefit show honoring the memory of ex-member Mike Starr? That would be nice.

At this point, I’m merely speculating. Alice In Chains has relaunched its official Web site and says that a “special concert announcement” will be coming next Monday (April 11).

There’s no further information regarding what this special concert announcement might entail. The guys have been off the road since late last year, when they toured with Mastodon and The Deftones.

Alice In Chains are said to be working on new material, and yesterday was the ninth anniversary of the death of frontman Layne Staley. What the hell could this special concert be? I’m so intrigued. And now, all weekend, all I will be able to think about is what Monday may hold. Oh well.
