American Heritage Exclusive Song Stream: “City Of God”

Sedentary

A few years back, when I was working at MTV News, I was sent a copy of Millenarian.

Based solely on the striking cover imagery, I decided to pop the album into my rinky dink CD player and I blasted that fucker much to the chagrin of everyone in the MTV Newsroom but my managing editor and Kurt Loder.

Now, all these years later, here I am, running my own site, streaming a song you’ve likely already heard, if you are an American Heritage fan like myself.

If you’ve never before heard of them but you dig Mastodon, you’ve really got to check these dudes out.

Solar Flare Records and Prototype Records will be releasing the Chicago band’s third album — Sedentary — on vinyl November 27.

The record famously features cameos from Mastodon’s Bill Kelliher, Black Cobra’s Rafa Martinez, and Buried at Sea and Minsk’s Sanford Parker.

Today, we’re bringing you an official stream of the track “City of God,” from the forthcoming vinyl version of the album.

Listen and love, and do yourself a favor…check out American Heritage’s back catalogue.
