American Heritage Releasing New Album In March

Sedentary

It is called Sedentary and that is the album art. It reminds me of childhood, for some reason. Maybe that says more about me than my bio does. Anyways, so American Heritage’s new album comes out March 1. I have the track listing after the jump. Some of the song titles are rather amusing, like “Morbid Angle” and “Kiddie Pool of Baby Blood.”

Recorded at Chicago’s Semaphore Studios with Buried at Sea’s Sanford Parker once again behind the boards, the eleven-track album features a different bass player on each song, including contributions from the Mastodon’s Bill Kelliher and Black Cobra’s Rafa Martinez. Today, the band’s permanent bassist is Erik Bocek of Joan of Arc and Ghosts.

“The idea is from the concept of a sedentary society, meaning, one that no longer is nomadic,” says singer Adam Norden of the album’s lyrical content. “I was thinking of what changed at that point in human development.”

Sedentary track listing:
1.  Sickening Rebellion
2.  City of God
3.  Chaotic Obliteration
4.  Kiddie Pool of Baby Blood
5.  Fetal Attraction
6.  Tomb Cruise
7.  Vessels/Vassals
8.  Slave By Force
9.  Morbid Angle
10. Abduction Cruiser
11. WWDHD
