Another Nine Inch Nails Pretty Hate Machine Re-Issue Coming Next Month

Pretty Hate Machine

We told you waaaaaay back in October that Nine Inch Nails’ would be re-releasing its debut offering Pretty Hate Machine, but now, we can tell you that a different re-issue will cometh July 12.

According to The PRP, the new, original master re-issue of Nine Inch Nails’ seminal TVT effort will be released through Trent Reznor’s The Null Corporation. This version will be made available on both CD and vinyl.

The new reissue follows the remastered edition of the album that came out late last year and featured a new mastering job done by Reznor and Tom Baker and new artwork.

A few years back, TVT sold off the rights to Nine Inch Nails’ Pretty Hate Machine before declaring insolvency and Rykodisc re-issued the long out-of-print album a few years ago. Reznor got his baby back sometime last year.

This is one of the best records of all time. That’s all I’m saying. Own it, or I will disown you.

You didn’t read the story, did you?

Interesting… This post is really vague, so if I were to hazard a guess, perhaps Trent used the income from writing an Oscar-winning movie score (which is now being used as incidental music everywhere) to purchase the rights to Pretty Hate Machine from Bicycle Music outright, hence this new release being on Null Corp, and not Universal. That would be pretty cool if he finally got full control over his debut album.

Well … if it has a remaster of Maybe Just Once and/or Now I’m Nothing great, but I wish this had all been one package. NIN fans aren’t all made of money.

I’m happy if it’s released with Maybe Just Once, Purest Feeling and/or Now I’m Nothing as remastered tracks, but I do wish this had all been one release, NIN fans aren’t made of money
