Anthrax’s Scott Ian Is Now A Father

Scott Ian literally celebrated his first Father’s Day yesterday by becoming a father.

On Sunday, the Anthrax guitarist wrote on his Facebook page “Happiest day of my life.” And over on Blabbermouth, they’re reporting that Ian’s first child with wife Pearl Aday arrived at 10:19 a.m., and has been named Revel Young Ian.

The baby was three weeks premature, and weighed in at six pounds, nine ounces. Both mother and baby are said to be “doing brilliantly,” Scott explained to Blabbermouth.

Congrats, Scott. And congrats to Meatloaf, who is now a grandfather. Fucking Meatloaf, man. What a strange world we live in.

Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser was supposed to fill in for Ian at 11 Anthrax shows in July while Scott awaited the birth of his child. Now, it is not clear if Kisser will still be playing those shows.
