Anthrax To Release Covers EP In September

We’ve known for quite some time that Anthrax have been in the studio tracking covers, and we kinda figured that these recordings would somehow become available for commercial consumption.

Now, we know for sure that shit’s going down.

Anthrax will release an EP of covers in September to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the release of the band’s latest album, Worship Music.

Couldn’t they have just send us a card?

“It started out as what I call ‘The ’70s EP’,” drummer Charlie Benante has said. “It’s made up of some cover songs from our favorite bands.”

It is expecting Boston’s “Smokin’” will be on there along with Journey’s “Keep On Runnin’” and AC/DC’s “T.N.T.” They also tracked a cover of Rush’s “Anthem.”
