Behemoth To Play This Summer’s Mayhem Festival

That’s the good word this Sunday morning, as I watch “Until the Light Takes Us” for the umpteenth fucking time.

Behemoth will be touring the states this summer, as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.

I fucking hate energy drinks. I never sip them shits, because I know, at the end of the day, that weird liquid will render me impotent.

Metal Storm’s D.T. Metal (of the New England Metals) spoke with Behemoth bassist Orion during the recent Barge to Hell cruise.

Orion says its on for this summer, and the band is very excited to return to the states following Nergal’s bout with leukemia.

“I don’t think it is confirmed yet, but we are coming back to the States this summer to play on the Rockstar [Energy Drink] Mayhem Festival,” says Orion.

“This will be the very first thing we will do before the new record comes out. After that, we plan on doing some other festivals, but they are not confirmed yet either. We have done quite a few European festivals this year (2012) and I am not sure if it would be the best thing to do before the album comes out.”

Oh, right…Behemoth are also working on a new album. I forgot about that. 2013’s going to kick balls, kids.

    If this gets confirmed I hope Behemoth get a spot on the main stage. At Mayhem the sideshow is difficult to enjoy because of the dust that gets kicked up from the moshing. But if this is a go, it’s a GO!
