Bruce Dickinson Receives Honorary Doctorate Of Music

Bruce Dickinson in a tie

Yet another reason why Bruce Dickinson is my hero.

Just look at him. That dude is 110 years old. Seriously. And he looks younger than me! He sings for Iron Maiden and now, he’s Dr. Bruce Dickinson.

Dickinson received his Honorary Doctorate of Music from Queen Mary, University of London in a ceremony that took place as part of the Summer Graduations on July 19.

Dickinson also received a degree in History from the same college in 1979.

Wow, that’s two honorary degrees. Together, that’s like one actual “I earned it” degree.

In related news, I also won an award recently. The 2011 All-Around Great Guy Award. It’s rather prestigious. Derek Jeter won it last year.

I wonder if I’ll ever receive an honorary degree…for blogging. Maybe one day. When I’m wrinkly and smell like piss and horseradish.
