Candy Striper Death Orgy Guitarist Loses Cat, Guitars In Fire

Eric Paone

Dude…I can relate to Eric Paone’s plight, as regular readers well know. There was a fire in my apartment building in February and I was lucky to have escaped with my cat and minimal smoke damage.

Paone, the 41-year-old guitarist for the Candy Striper Death Orgy, lost three of his six guitars, including his Kerry King Flying V signature series electric guitar and nearly $3,000 in other equipment, in a raging house fire Friday night in Newton, New Hampshire.

The fire broke out shortly after 5 p.m. and quickly went to four alarms, bringing more than 50 firefighters from 10 towns to the house where Paone lives with his girlfriend and his mother, according to reports.

“I’ve got so much money tied up in shirts and memorabilia,” Paone told reporters.

He also lost his cat Mopar in the fire.

We are so sorry for your loss, dude. That sucks, and we have been there dude. We know what its like to live through a fire. We are sorry you lost so much.
