Cantrell, Ulrich, Others Start New Supergroup

Lars Ulrich

I just sharted. I think.

Holy fucking fuck, would this be awesome if it were indeed true.

It seems Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains and Lars Ulrich of Metallica have formed a new rock and roll supergroup with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante.

We have no idea how legit this is, but imagine what that might sound like.

Aside from the drums, I imagine it’ll be quite awesome.

A post on Jerry’s unofficial Twitter announced the new band, which has no name yet.

“Very Very excited about my new project with Roger John Eddie & Lars,” the post — presumably by Cantrell — reads.

This would be the supergroup to end all supergroups.

Here’s to hoping this rumor’s true.

Interesting. Does this mean that Lars will be kicked out of Metallica like Jason Newstead was when he wanted to do his side band and James and Lars cried like little girls and forced him to quit?

F*ck You!! “Aside from the drums…” Everyone in this band suck ahole besides Lars. A bunch of washed up grungepop losers. Jerry Cantrel, Roger Waters, and of all people EDDIE VEDDER!!! *Yawn* Just reading this almost put me to sleep

Yeah right, Ulrich can barely drum these days. Jerry Cantrell is still on top, Roger Waters is a legend and Vedder is still great.

It’s hilarious how wrong you are, because literally everyone else in this group is competent at their respective instruments BUT Lars.

The joke to end all jokes! None of these boys have done anything new, creatively, let alone even tolerable to the ears for the good part of a decade or more, and, let’s not kid ourselves, it’s probably because the are INCAPABLE of it. As if banding together with every other big-name-hasbeen can somehow cure their suckyness…? Ugg. Perfect example of a midlife crisis for the super rich, once respected and now super irrelevant, clueless douche-lords… it’s sad. But it also makes me mad that I will inevitably be forced, by the incessant airwaves, to listen to this junk.
