Chimåirå

We’ve known for a day or so, but now, it’s official.

Cleveland’s own Chimaira have two new members to start 2012 with.

“We are proud to announce the addition of Matt Szlachta [Dirge Within] and Jeremy Creamer [Dååth] to Chimaira,” says Chimaira in a statement.

“The plan was to build an undeniable string section and we have done just that. Jeremy will be pounding on the bass, and Matt shredding alongside [Dååth’s] Emil [Werstler] on guitar.”

Agreed. That’s pretty awesome. I love the new Chimåirå lineup. In fact, from now on, they should go as Chimåirå, don’t you think? Three members of Dååth being injected into your band means a name change is in order: Chimåirå. I like it.

“As a way to say hello to the Chimaira fans, Jeremy recently remixed a couple of tracks from [Chimåirå's latest album] The Age Of Hell.

“We look forward to 2012,” says Chimåirå. “Thank you all for your overwhelming, and continuous support.”

Now, they just need to record another new album, with all the fury of those guitars, and rock our nuts off. Get to it.
