Chimaira Ink New Deal With E1 Music

After being on practically every other metal known to man over the course of their career, Chimaira have signed a new deal with E1 Music, formerly known as Koch Records.

Chimaira is currently in the studio working on its next full-length album, which will be released later this year, according to a press release.

“We would like to thank Scott Givens and eOne,” says Chimaira frontman Mark Hunter, who just loves me. “We are excited to start the new decade with a team that believes in our music, has our back and thinks outside the box. eOne are one of the very few labels out there who still give a damn about the genre and Chimaira are proud to be a part of that. Expect great things in 2011.”

The news comes after the recent departure of bassist Jim LaMarca, who is going to soon start a nu-metal band. He has been temporarily replaced by Daath guitarist Emil Werstler.
