Chimaira’s Mark Hunter Displays Royalty Check Online

This shouldn’t be news, because normally, artists wouldn’t show us their royalty checks. But Mark Hunter appreciates irony.

It’s sad that a dude with a career and catalogue like Hunter’s gets insult checks like that. It’s almost an insult that they’d send this to him. It’s not even worth the gas to drive to the bank to deposit it.

The accompanying image was posted online with the caption, “Another huge royalty check.”

Hunter did not say where the track was from — whether it was a label or what.

Mark’s the second metal dude to post his royalty check.

Matt Heafy of Trivium also did that some months ago.

And if you didn’t know, Mark writes a column for this site. Check out his entries here.
