Comeback Kid Guitarist Walks

Comeback Kid

Not that I’m a fan of this band in any way, shape or form, but someone must be: Comeback Kid have parted ways with guitarist Casey Hjelmberg.

Filling in for him will Stu Ross of Living With Lions and formerly of Misery Signals.

“We very unfortunately have to announce that our friend and guitar player Casey Hjelmberg has decided to leave Comeback Kid,” the band says in a statement.

“The split is completely amicable and we’re thankful to have spent as much time with him over the past few years as we have. He let us know early last year that it was time to move on with his life, and we’re sorry to see him go.

“Casey has been in Comeback Kid since our original vocalist Scott left in 2006 and Andrew took over vocal duties,” says the band.

“He has been a true friend to us all and huge part of why we’ve been able to keep at this for as long as we have. We wish him all the luck in the world and we’re sure he’ll be just fine.”
