Deftones, Opeth, Black Dahlia Featured On “Saints Row: The Third” Soundtrack

Deftones

I have no clue what “Saints Row 3” is, because I own a Wii, and they’ve stopped making games for that system so far as I can tell. And I don’t have the kind of cash to throw away on a PS3. With my luck, I’d buy a PS3 and they’d announce PS4 the next day.

Anyways, the soundtrack for this game is phat. It’s got the Deftones, The Black Dahlia Murder, Goatwhore, Opeth, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Amon Amarth, Between The Buried and Me, and Strapping Young Lad on it. No shit.

“There’s no way to describe ‘Saints Row: The Third’ other than pure, over-the-top fun,” said Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President, of Core Games, which I assume is a branch of THQ. “In a sea of games that are doing the same thing over again, it’s incredibly refreshing to take Saints Row in a completely new direction, and incredibly satisfying to see the reaction from fans so far. Today, we all embrace the crazy.”

Other artists featured on the soundtrack include After the Burial, Black Veil Chodes, Chemlab, Drowning Pool, and Marilyn Manson.

Job For a Cowboy are also featured on the soundtrack, along with KMFDM, Mastodon, Otep, and Shai Halud.
