Deftones Streaming Another New Tune Online — Hear It Now!

And you can hear it at the end of this post.

The new Deftones song is called “Tempest,” and it doesn’t have me nearly as psyched for the new D-Tones record as that last song they streamed did.

“Tempest” will receive a digital release on October 9, and comes from the new Deftones LP Koi No Yokan, in stores November 13.

The phrase Koi No Yokan is a Japanese term that’s not literally translatable to English. “It basically means love at first sight, but the distinction is that Koi No Yokan specifically refers to the feeling that this love at first sight is one’s destiny, with the who and how and why being, possibly, completely unknown.”

That’s phat…but is this song also phat? You be the judge.

I don’t know if I like it as much as “Leathers” but on the bright side, with every song they release I feel as though I can get the feeling the new album will be trying to condone upon the listener, a feeling that I really like. I’m also glad that its not carbon copy of “Diamond Eyes” or anything near that albums sound really. Really excited for this release!
