That’s right, people. This is no laughing matter.

DevilDriver bassist Aaron “Bubble” Patrick has been hospitalized. Dude has come down with a bad case of pneumonia.

Bubble is undergoing tests to determine how serious the pneumonia is. While the doctors have him in the hospital, they might want to check his hearing. I think maybe that explains his joining DevilDriver.

Filling in for Patrick for the first few shows of DevilDriver’s Metal Alliance Tour will be his former Bury Your Dead bandmate Chris Towning.

The Metal Alliance Tour, of course, also features The Faceless, Dying Fetus, Job For A Cowboy, 3 Inches of Blood, Impending Doom, and Wretch.

Patrick joined DevilDriver as the replacement for Jonathan Miller, who quit the band in March 2011.
