Devin Townsend Plays Strapping Young Lad Material In London

Devin Townsend

And you can see some video of that at the end of this post.

It’s been years since Devin Townsend has played any Strapping Young Lad material, but as promised, the Retinal Circus show in London covered the entire span of Devin’s career.

So, naturally, he’s gotta play some Strapping.

On Saturday at the Roundhouse venue in London, Devin and his band played “Love?” Watch it now.

The show was recorded for both DVD and Blu-ray, which will probably be released sometime in the second quarter of 2013 through InsideOut Music.

Devin was joined on stage for the Strapping Young Lad tunes by the band’s former guitarist Jed Simon, who wrote on his Facebook page after the concert, “Well, all done and the cat is out of the bag. It was an awesome experience and my heart feels that much better because of it. You are my brother and my friend, Dev. Thank you.”
