Dimmu Borgir To Play With Orchestra, Choir At Wacken

Posted by Chris Harris on September 15, 2011 in News

I love this picture

That’s right, loyal readers.

Norwegian symphonic black metal act Dimmu Borgir will be joined by an orchestra and a choir when they perform at next year’s edition of the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place August 2 to August 4 in Wacken, Germany.

Every time I see the word “Wacken,” I turn into a five-year-old and I laugh. “Wacken off,” I mutter to myself, giggling. Fuck, what’s wrong with me? My therapist doesn’t even know.

The rest of the bill is looking solid.

Amon Amarth will be performing, which is obviously the kind of news that should have you wacken. Ministry will be reuniting, and Cradle of Filth will be getting tossed on their asses backstage by security.

Henry Rollins will be doing some spoken word material, while Six Feet Under will continue to do what they’ve always done: Rock. And lastly, Watain will be at Wacken. That makes me want to wack. Fucking Watain own, son. OWN.
