Fire Rips Through Tesla’s Recording Studio

The roof, the roof...

Tesla — those dudes who sang that song “Signs” — are super bummed this morning, because there’s now a sign on the outside of the charred shell of what used to be the band’s Sacramento recording studio that says “Do Not Enter — Fire Investigation In Progress.”

According to KCRA in California, the blaze broke out just before 2 a.m. and was declared a three-alarm conflagration. That’s a pretty serious fire, people. That means that studio is fucked. I hope these dudes had fire insurance. They probably did. The other news: Tesla made enough to build its own studio, and they apparently still record. Who knew?

The report claims that the fire also consumed a residence next door. Much of the band’s memorabilia was lost in the fire, the cause of which is now being investigated. That means they need to find the source of the blaze and determine the cause. Let’s hope it wasn’t arson, because that’s fucked. Maybe the studio had a sign on the front door that said “Fuck Pyromaniacs.”

In video footage of the blaze, firefighters are seen carrying several musical instruments that were cooked in the fire. What a bum out.
