Giraffe Tongue Orchestra Get New Ex-Mars Volta Kitman

I want breakfast

So…this is weird.

The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Benjamin Weinman — as you well fucking know — has started a little tasty supergroup side project with the one and only Eric Avery, former bassist for the one and only Jane’s motha fuckin’ Addiction.

The band — called Giraffe Tongue Orchestra — also boasts the bulky likes of Brent Hinds, Mastodon’s guitarist.

Well, Weinman was on a radio station Thursday, giving an interview and spoke about a slight lineup change in the band.

Strange this is, the new guy’s from the same band the old guy used to play in. Confused?

Well, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra — a really likable band name, in my unimportant opinion — originally boasted erstwhile Mars Volta kitman Thomas Pridgen.

Now, the band features former Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore.

Weinman said Giraffe Tongue Orchestra’s debut studio offering is about halfway done, and that some dope fucking collaborators should be expected.

I literally can not fucking wait to hear what these dudes have come up with.

This band — I know, in my heart — will put all other bands ever called a “supergroup” to utter and complete shame. How could Giraffe Tongue Orchestra not?
