Hear Metallica’s Deep Purple Cover — Right Friggin’ Now!

That’s right.

Head to the end of this post to listen to Metallica’s take on Deep Purple’s “When A Blind Man Cries.”

The songs comes from a compilation assembled by Eagle Records called Re-Machined – A Tribute To Deep Purple’s Machine Head.

The record is in stores on September 25.

Metallica chose to cover a track that was recorded during the Machine Head sessions more than 40 years ago; the song did not make the record, but was released as the B-side to “Never Before.”

You can read more about the compilation here.
