In This Moment Drummer, Guitarist Quit; Join “American Idol” Metal Douche Guy

In This Moment's Maria Brink

Remember that metal douche guy on the last season of “American Idol?” Of course you fucking don’t. You don’t watch gay crap like “American Idol.” But apparently, last season, there was this metal douche guy on the show who Judas Priest performed with.

Now, it seems In This Moment’s drummer and guitarist left so they could go play with him. Hmm. Strange. Leaving one shitty band to go play for a shitty dude from “American Idol?” Something tells me these dudes have always been in it for the cash.

Drummer Jeff Fabb and guitarist Blake Bunzel have announced their departure, to be in the backing band for James Durbin, the metal douche guy.

“We are embracing this change with open arms, and a renewed spirit,” says In This Moment in a statement. “Sometimes you have to let go of what’s in your hands to reach for something greater! In the meantime, we are back in the studio, writing for our new album and the new songs are sounding better than anything we’ve done to date. We are aiming for a summer 2012 release, so get ready and look out for a bigger and badder In This Moment in the coming year.”

In This Moment will likely need a new drummer and guitarist before they enter the studio in January to begin recording their next album for a spring release via Century Media Records.

Meanwhile, Maria Brink still won’t date me. Tape at 11.
