Maria Brink of In This Moment

In This Moment are holed up in The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada, with longtime producer Kevin Churko.

They have begun recording songs for their forthcoming album, which will be in stores this summer through Century Media.

This, following the departures of drummer Jeff Fabb and guitarist Blake Bunzel. They jumped ship to join “American Idol” token metal douche James Durbin’s band.

“We are embracing this change with open arms, and a renewed spirit,” the band said at the time.

“Sometimes you have to let go of what’s in your hands to reach for something greater! In the meantime, we are back in the studio and the new songs are sounding better than anything we’ve done to date,” the statement added.

Well, as with every time I hear this band is in the studio, I just hope it’s more heavy than girlie. There is something redeeming about In This Moment, I just want them to turn up the heavy notch.

Like, a ton.

I would like to hear them turn up the heavy notch and add some chaos.  Beautiful Tragedy was good, but the formula made it grow stale pretty quick.  Definitely like The Dream better than their last one though.
