You know, the Killswitch Engage dudes have somehow remained humble despite becoming one of metal’s biggest bands. That means they’re genuine.

Now, the band is coming to the aid of a friend in need, as bassist Mike D’Antonio puts it.

“A good friend of the band has recently had to battle pancreatic cancer,” writes the band online. “We would like to donate some of our personal instruments to help him deal with the high costs of care and surgery. All proceeds from these auctions will go directly to him.”

The auction is up and ready for your bids here.

Items up for auction include Mike D’Antonio’s signed MDB2 signature bass, Adam Dutkiewicz’ signed Caparison PLM-3 guitas, and Joel Stroetzel’s signed Caparison Dellinger 7FX guitar.

Killswitch Engage will soon be playing their 2002 album, Alive Or Just Breathing, in full on a tour later this year featuring Shadows Fall and Acaro.

The band is also in the middle of recording a new LP.
