Lamb Of God’s Chris Adler Talks Blythe Verdict

Chris Adler

Any day now, I’ll be chatting with Chris Adler, now that his Lamb of God bandmate Randy Blythe’s been found not guilty of manslaughter.

The band wanted to keep quiet during those proceedings and I get it. You would never want to say something that could be misconstrued, because who knows if that could end up playing a factor in the outcome.

Adler did take to Facebook this morning to air his thoughts on yesterday’s stellar news.

“We greatly appreciate and have been fortunate to have the support of our friends, families and fans from all over the world during a nightmare situation for us in Prague,” writes Chris.

“We are now able to get back to work, but are still saddened by the loss of Daniel Nosek. The trial may be over, but the loss is forever and we also continue to mourn.”

Of course, Blythe could end up going back to Prague.

State prosecutors say they intend to appeal Tuesday’s verdict.

They have eight days to appeal.

It is actually eight days from the delivery of the written court verdict. The presiding judge has to put in writing the court’s assessment of each and every piece of evidence and witness statement, so that might take a couple of weeks.

This very State Attorney just won an appeal against a Russian Mafia Kingpin for ordering a murder (he was acquitted at the Municipal Court in Prague for lack of evidence before, however the High Court in Prague revoked the decision since the first instance judges apparently failed to take into account all of the evidence presented and it ordered the court to rule again including the evidence – that is why the written version of the decision is so important and takes long to be made although the ruling was held). The issue with in that case was that the first instance discarded witness testimonies of other mafia members. Sure the kingpin is long gone… http://zpravy.idnes.cz/vor-v-zakone-soghojan-0t5-/krimi.aspx?c=A130228_110818_krimi_wlk
