Lock Up Bassist Sidelined; Nuclear Assault’s Lilker Steps In

Lock Up

Our thoughts today are with not only my sister, who just gave birth to my kick-ass nephew, but also with Shane Embury, the bassist for Lock Up.

The dude is going through something because he will have to sit out Lock Up’s upcoming North American headlining tour — the band’s first.

The tour is set for February. We’re hoping he’s missing the tour for something good. The trek also boasts Goatwhore and Strong Intention.

Dan Lilker from Nuclear Assault will be stepping in as his temporary replacement.

“It’s a pleasure and an honor to (briefly) step in for Mr. Shane Embury and hold down the bass for Lock Up for these East Coast shows,” commented Lilker. “Hope to see all the grindfreaks come out and experience the mayhem. Full speed ahead, fuckers!”

The tour kicks off February 8 in Buffalo, New York, and wraps February 16 in Brooklyn. You can find a list of the band’s dates here.
