Max Cavalera Gives Son Zyon A Cool Job

Zyon Cavalera

That’s right — Zyon Cavalera, the 19-year-old son of Soulfly mainman Max Cavalera, will join the band as its touring drummer.

Zyon will our with the band when the hit North America again in early 2013.

The only job my dad ever gave me was to mow the lawn and rake the leaves.

Zyon, who is also a member of Lody Kong, previously played with Soulfly during the band’s tour of Brazil in February 2012.

Zyon’s unborn heartbeat kicks off the Sepultura classic “Refuse/Resist.”

Drummer David Kinkade left Soulfly last month in order to focus on his personal life.
