Meshuggah Release Album Art, Details For Koloss

Koloss

That there is the cover art for Koloss, Meshuggah’s forthcoming new album. I like it a hell of a lot better than that last album cover, with that bloody metrosexual-looking buddha douche on it.

I like the new album art. Bodes well for the sound of the album, I think. Sometimes the two can be correlated.

Koloss drops March 27 in North America as a CD digi, limited-edition Magic Cube (CD digi plus DVD exclusive to Nuclear Blast mail order) and two-LP brown vinyl through Nuclear Blast Records.

The album will contain 10 tracks: “I Am Colossus,” “The Demon’s Name Is Surveillance,” “Do Not Look Down,” “Behind The Sun,” “The Hurt That Finds You First,” “Marrow,” “Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion,” “Swarm,” “Demiurge,” and “The Last Vigil.”

I wonder if this is going to be a concept album? Those track titles make me think it might be.

Pretty badass! Honestly, I was a fan of the artwork on ObZen even though it was a pretty ripe and suggestive cover. Koloss artwork looks very majestic, can’t wait to hear the audio it conceals.
