More New Soundgarden Audio Surfaces

Man, I have been taking a lot of shit from Soundgarden fans for even suggesting the new album — the band’s first in 15 years — might be a colossal rock and roll abortion.

I stand by what I’ve said all along. The more I hear, the less enthused I am for Soundgarden’s King Animal.

See if you don’t agree at the end of this post, where you can hear portions of a song called “Halfway There.”

The new album comes to us November 13.

To promote the new stuff, Soundgarden will be doing a bunch of intimate shows.

They will play Irving Plaza in New York City on November 13, Phoenix Concert Theater in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on November 16, and at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on November 27.

Now, no whining that they’re not coming to your town.
