Mortem

The lineup for the 10th and final Sacrifice of the Nazarene Child Festival has been decided and holy dead hooker, do I wish I had a way to get to Houston on October 9. That’s when the SOTNC goes down at Walter’s. Tickets for the fest are $35 day of and $30 in advance.

So who’s playing the black metal fest? Unfortunately, not Profanatica. When I attended the SOTNC festival in 2008, Profanatica headlined and performed in nun habits and covered in animal blood. All in attendance had a devilishly good time. There will be several regulars at the fest, who routinely play the annual gig.

This year’s lineup boasts a ton of Texan metal bands, like Gnostic, Thornspawn, and Blaspherian. Others confirmed for the bill include Sweden’s Kill, Morbus 666, Mexico’s Morbosidad, Golgoth, War Master, and Open Grave.

Peruvian metallers Mortem will be playing their final U.S. show at the SOTNC, while bands like Nemontemi, Cemetery Urn, Imprecation, Father Befouled, Vatican, and of course, Nosvrolok.
