Scars On Broadway Won’t Go Away

Look, if you dig Scars on Broadway, that’s cool. I have no issue with you for that.

But I happen to think this band’s pointless and part of the reason why System of a Down isn’t more active. And that could just be pure bullshit. From an outsider’s perspective, it seems possible.

Scars On Broadway — which is a one-man band, officially — still plan to release an EP called Fuck N Kill in the next few months, says Daron Malakian, who spoke to Guitar World recently.

Guitar World is like the one media outlet that stills gives a fuck about Scars on Broadway. I think that’s funny.

Malakian also says he plans on releasing a full length album, too.

“I actually worked a lot faster [alone], because when I write a song I have all the parts in my head already,” he says. “And it takes time to get into it with a band and talk about everything and show everybody what to do. This way I did two songs a day and was done in under two weeks.”

    The true reason behind System’s hiatus is Serj Tankian and his neverending solo effort. Which is pointless to me. Since SOAD music was mainly Malakian’s product, I will be super glad for everything he releases. Thanks for these stupid “news”. You hate Scars, alright, got it last time…

    Daron is a top poet, songwriter, and guitarist in my book. Why would you want scars to go away? Their first album was great and they have three new songs out (“Guns are loaded”, “Sickening wars”, and “Dictator”) that are awesome. Scars> Serj’s solo.
