I don’t know what Bruce slipped on. Maybe a chord or perhaps the wet stage. This video was shot during the Finnish Sonisphere Festival on August 8. A thunderstorm came through the area over the weekend, and nearly forced the event’s cancellation. There was intense lightning during the five minute storm, and two people were seriously injured; they were listed as critical soon after sustaining their injuries.
Motley Crue’s equipment was destroyed in the rain, as was the second stage at the fest. When Iron Maiden did go on two hours late, Dickinson told the crowd “the stage over there is completely fucked. Motley Crue have gone home as their stuff is fucked and our stuff is fucked, but we don’t care. We’re not going home until you go home. This is one of the most amazing concerts of my whole life. We were pissed on by the gods and we pissed on the gods right back. For those of you that have rocked, we fucking salute you.”
Let’s hope Bruce didn’t sustain any injuries in the fall. I don’t think he did. He’s just suffering from the embarrassment of having this clip all over the web now. Score.
