The Faceless’ Keene Slams Green Day Singer

The Faceless

In the event you missed the numerous Facebook posts about this over the weekend, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong threw a fit during the “iHeartRadio Festival” in Las Vegas. All your lame-ass friends who listen to Creed will be talking about this in the office tomorrow, so we’re filling you in ahead of time.

Dude went nuts when they told him his band had one more minute to its set. “I’ve been around since fucking 19-fucking-88,” he said during his rant, before later saying, “I’m not fucking Justin Bieber, you motherfuckers.”

While kind of whiny, what the fuck? He’s in one of the biggest rock bands ever. Let ‘em go long.

He then went on to smash his guitar on stage, and walk off in a huff. Video follows at the end of this post.

The Faceless’ Michael Keene took to the webernets, and called the move a “childish display. He’s a spoiled, rich, rock star with a bruised ego who’s lost sight of how lucky he is. For a guy who’s made millions off of a guitar repertoire that doesn’t extend beyond power chords, you’d think he’d be a little more gracious.”

Rolling Stone is now reporting that Armstrong’s going to rehab. Armstrong has announced plans to seek treatment for substance abuse.

Green Day posted the news in a statement on their Facebook page Sunday. Conveniently, Green Day have a new album coming out Tuesday.

  • SCUMFUCK

There’s no mention on how Usher played before Green Day and he went 25 minutes over his set, which the shitty ass promoters of the event decided to cut Green Day’s set short by that amount of time, WITHOUT even telling Green Day before they hit the stage. I’d be a pissed off too.

Haha, Mike’s superiority swarms that of Billie’s. Hail Science.

  • Jep

In a statement, here’s exactly what GD had to say, “Green Day would like everyone to know that their set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas.. The band regretfully must postpone some of their upcoming promotional appearances.” Sorry SF.
