Minette returned to the Los Angeles-based metal act just in time for the recording of the disc, which went down earlier this year in Hoboken, New Jersey. But the man’s been pursuing a master’s degree from the USC School of Music, so no one figured he would be available to tour. But Minette’s taking a leave of absence from higher education, just so he can tour.
I guess he really believes in this new material, or just really wants to play the shit out of it. Either way, this has got to be insanely awesome news for fans of the band.
Previously, guitarist Dean Herrera said that “These new songs are among the most difficult The Human Abstract songs to play, but at the same time are more satisfying. Past songs sometimes felt more like exercises, these feel more well-rounded, with moments that are really fun to play.”
For some reason, we still do not know when Digital Veil will be released, but the band says that a tour has been booked, and that details for those shows would be released posthaste.
