The Red Chord Drummer Leaves…Again

The Red Chord

The Red Chord have announced that they’ve mutually parted ways with drummer Mike Justian. The band announced the news in a post on Facebook.

The makes the end of Justian’s second stint with The Red Chord. He was with the band between 2000 and 2004, and came back last year to take over for Brad Fickeisen, who took over for him in 2004.

I know — its a little confusing.

“We’ve parted ways with our old friend and original drummer, Mike Justian,” the band’s statement reads. “It was awesome jamming with him as always and our split is totally mutual. We wish Mike the best! We’re excited to announce that Jon ‘The Charn’ Rice of Job For A Cowboy will be playing drums for us on the upcoming Trap Them/Gaza tour. Jon is an exceptional drummer and we’re excited to play some shows with him.”

As you well know, The Red Chord will be hitting the road tomorrow, for a tour that kicks off in Allston, Massachusetts, and runs through March 24 in Philadelphia.
