Maynard James Keenan

Man, what a score for the Phoenix New Times, huh?

Maynard James Keenan, the singer for Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer, has signed on to write a bi-weekly column for the alternative weekly’s “Up On The Sun” blog.

The column will reportedly feature his freewheeling examinations on whatever he feels like writing about, including music and wine.

The column will make its debut online tomorrow.

Tool are said to be working on material for a new record. But who knows how true that even is.

I am looking forward to reading Maynard’s column.

I just think its amazing how everybody’s getting bands to write columns now. Weird.
