Maylene & The Sons of Disaster

I am fucking exhausted. Woke up at the crack and drove out to Long Island to shoot a round of golf with my dad. It was awesome, of course. I had a stellar time and had some solid shots out there but I’m tired and need a nap. So here’s some small news from around the metal galaxy to end the day with.

Trouble, the Chicago doom metal force, is gearing up for their next record. They’ve been working on demos for months and say they are “extremely happy with the direction of the songs. Heavy and melodic are the words that describe this work.”

Serj Tankian can’t hang with the rock and roll lifestyle he’s achieved for himself. He’s postponed his fall tour because he’s wiped out from promoting his new record, Imperfect Harmonies, which drops September 21. He’ll announce rescheduled dates after the LP is released.

German deathcore act Fuck Your Shadow From Behind has disbanded “due to musical differences and the fact that we have to consider our personal aims and perspectives for the future.” So, a band you never heard of is done. Carry on with your day.

And lastly, Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster have started writing new music for their next record. The band Tweeted the good news for all of their followers. Take your time, dudes. No rush.
